About Stonybrook The farm, STONYBROOK CONNEMARAS, is located high on the eastern ridge of the Napa Valley, overlooking the premium wine-producing countryside. In the spring, one looks across the valley towards the Mayacamas Mountains, where the green rolling hills to the north and south are reminiscent of Ireland itself. For twenty-eight years, the rocky hillsides were home to the Stonybrook broodmares and foals, where the ponies roamed uphill, downhill and across hills in their pastures. *Canal Laurinston and Balius Golden Piper continue to live outside year-round. Constant exercise, which goes with the terrain, keeps them happy and fit. During breeding season, April - August, *Canal Laurinston, travels to his second home where he stands with his life-long trainer and competitor, Lee Webster. Lee owns and operates her own training facility, Blue Chip Stables, in Penngrove, California. Stonybrook Connemaras has produced quality performance ponies and horses, capable of competing successfully in any discipline. Trainers, smaller women and children are becoming increasingly aware that it can be more fun to have a suitably-sized mount, so Connemaras and Connemara Halfbreds are growing rapidly in popularity. The Webster family has enjoyed all aspects of involvement with the Connemara Pony, traveling nationally and abroad to continue the learning curve, supporting the American Connemara Pony Society and regional activities, and welcoming guests from many states and overseas. We invite you to visit us and to talk Connemara Pony! Obviously, we believe in this breed, for "Connemaras Do It All!" |
